I am thrilled to address you as we embark on a remarkable journey towards advancing non-ferrous metal recycling and fostering a circular economy in the non-ferrous metal industry in India. It is with great pride and optimism that I extend my warmest greetings on behalf of the Recycling Division (JNARDDC) which acts as a Promotional Council for Non-Ferrous Metal Recycling.

Our mission is clear and resolute - to promote sustainable practices in the non-ferrous metal industry that align with the principles of a circular economy and zero waste. India has long been a key player in the global non-ferrous metal industry, and with this privilege comes the immense responsibility to lead by example. Our nation's rich history, vast resources, and vibrant industry have set the stage for transformative change. It is within this context that our council has taken shape, poised to make a profound impact.

At the heart of our vision lies the promotion of non-ferrous metal recycling. By recovering, and recycling these precious materials, we reduce the strain on our natural resources and utilize waste generation. This is not just a noble endeavor; it is an imperative one. It is our duty to ensure that future generations inherit a world rich in resources and devoid of the burdens of excess waste.

We recognize that achieving this vision requires collective effort and unwavering commitment from all stakeholders - from industry leaders to small-scale recyclers, from policymakers to environmental advocates. Together, we will collaborate, innovate, and implement best practices to achieve our shared goals. Our council's activities will span a spectrum of initiatives:

  • Advocacy and Policy Support: We will work closely with policymakers to create an enabling environment that encourages sustainable practices and investments in non-ferrous metal recycling.
  • Research and Innovation: We will support research initiatives that drive innovation in recycling technologies, resource-efficient processes, and circular design principles.
  • Education and Awareness: We will engage in public outreach and educational campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of non-ferrous metal recycling and the circular economy.
  • Capacity Building: We will facilitate training and skill development programs to empower the industry's workforce with the knowledge and expertise required for sustainable practices.
  • Partnerships: We will seek strategic partnerships with industry associations, environmental organizations, and academic institutions to strengthen our collective impact.

Together, we will pave the way for a more sustainable, responsible, and prosperous non-ferrous metal industry in India. I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and the positive impact we can make. Let us work tirelessly, united in purpose, to achieve our goals and leave a legacy of sustainability for generations to come.

Thank you for your unwavering support, and I look forward to the remarkable achievements that await us. Stay safe and healthy.
