Bauxite Division

Dr Pravin Bhukte

Bauxite division involved in research activities related to evaluation of lateritic bauxite deposits, mineral processing, beneficiation of ores and development of value-added products. The department is equipped with instruments for testing of ores, minerals & rocks. Geological testing like, Bond Work Index, Petrological studies, Bulk density, Moisture content, etc. of bauxite, other ores & rocks. Apart from this, the available additional facilities include coal sample preparation, also provide support to the ongoing R&D projects of other research divisions.
